We run the kitchen at North Haven Football Club and are expanding into a second venue at Outer Harbor. We’re known for cracking burgers, schnitzels, loaded parmis, catering events and the odd eating challenge. It’s a fast, fun, community focused kitchen where quality and consistency matter. The role We’re looking for a reliable Kitchen Assistant / Catering Assistant to support our team during service and catering jobs. You’ll be helping with prep, keeping the kitchen clean and stocked, and making sure service runs smoothly. It’s a great role for someone who’s hardworking, keen to learn and happy to muck in wherever needed. This is a casual position with 2 to 4 hour shifts. You’ll need to be available Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. What you’ll be doing Assisting the cooks with basic food prep Washing up, cleaning down and keeping the kitchen tidy during and after service Restocking and helping with stock rotation Plating and packing food for service and catering Helping set up and pack down for functions and events Following our food safety and hygiene standards What we’re looking for A strong work ethic and a positive, can do attitude Ability to stay on top of things during busy periods Good teamwork and communication Reliability and availability across Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights A current Food Safety / Food Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain one) Valid working rights in Australia Nice to have Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or hospitality role Experience in a sporting club, pub or events environment What we offer A supportive, close knit team A fun, fast paced environment with plenty of variety Pay rates in line with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award A great entry point into hospitality with room to grow
