This role will suit a candidate who can support civil and site works, carry out technical assessments and testing, and contribute to the accurate and compliant delivery of the infrastructure that underpins the company’s residential projects. Position: Civil Engineering Technician Location: Reedy Creek, QLD Key Responsibilities Interpreting project briefs, engineering instructions and work assignments to determine suitable methods, procedures and equipment for each civil and site-related task across the company’s residential and associated development projects Preparing sketches, plans, layouts, schedules, charts and tabulations for civil works such as site drainage, stormwater management, water and sewer service connections, internal access roads, driveways, pavements and other supporting infrastructure Collecting, reviewing and analysing site and project data and carrying out calculations relating to levels, grades, quantities, drainage capacities and material requirements Carrying out and directing on-site fieldwork and related testing to support design, set-out and construction activities across active project sites Conducting and arranging field and laboratory testing of soils, fill and construction materials to confirm their suitability for foundations, pavements and earthworks, and gathering site, access and survey data to inform servicing and traffic arrangements for developments Estimating material quantities and costs for civil and site works and helping ensure that completed works meet project specifications, relevant standards, approval conditions and contract provisions Inspecting civil and site works during and after construction and organising and supervising any required rectification, maintenance or repair to maintain quality and compliance Preparing the supporting civil documentation, drawings and technical data required for council and authority submissions, approvals and construction certification Checking dimensions, levels, set-out and site details against approved plans to support accuracy and buildability on site Liaising with designers, engineers, surveyors, contractors, site supervisors and external consultants to coordinate civil and construction information across each project Maintaining organised records of site data, test results, calculations, drawings and revisions for project control and future reference Monitoring works on site to confirm they are completed in line with relevant building, drainage and construction standards and practical site conditions Contributing to continuous improvement in technical processes, documentation quality and efficiency across the company’s projects Skills and Experience at least 1 year of relevant work experience an AQF associate degree, advanced diploma or diploma in a relevant field Personal Attributes strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, high-quality technical work able to manage competing deadlines and adapt to changing project priorities a clear communicator with a collaborative, team-focused approach practical, methodical and solution-focused in approach reliable and capable of working both independently and as part of a project team, on site and in the office Employment Type: Full-time | Hours: 38 hours per week Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum If you are a capable Civil Engineering Technician looking for a full-time opportunity in Reedy Creek, QLD, we encourage you to apply.
