The Role Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across the site. You will lead a small maintenance team while remaining actively involved in preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and driving plant reliability across production operations. Lead and coordinate maintenance activities across production equipment, utilities, and site infrastructure to ensure maximum plant uptime and reliability. Plan, schedule, and execute preventative and corrective maintenance programs while minimising operational downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults across a range of manufacturing equipment and plant utilities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, breakdown reduction, maintenance planning, and asset performance. Support and coordinate maintenance fitters, electricians, apprentices, and contractors while promoting a strong safety-first culture. Manage spare parts inventory, coordinate external service providers, and assist with maintenance budgeting and cost control. Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, maintenance standards, audits, risk assessments, and site safety procedures. Your Background Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or similar mechanical trade background. Previous experience in a Maintenance Supervisor, Leading Hand, Senior Maintenance Fitter, or similar leadership position within a manufacturing environment. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities across mechanical and electrical systems. Experience leading maintenance teams and coordinating contractors within a fast-paced production environment. Strong understanding of preventative maintenance, reliability improvement, and maintenance planning principles. Exposure to CMMS or ERP systems such as SAP is highly regarded.
