Exciting opportunity within a leading Federal Government Agency 3 year contract – open to Canberra or Melbourne Rewarding hourly rates $$ A highly regarded Federal Government organisation is seeking Senior NIES Service Desk Analysts to support critical ICT systems and end users within a secure and complex environment. This role will act as the first point of contact for technical support while contributing to incident management, system improvements, and service delivery outcomes. The successful Service Desk Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to: Responding to a broad range of ICT service requests and providing timely resolution or escalation. Performing first-level investigation, diagnosis, and incident management in line with agreed procedures. Installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting applications and systems. Monitoring and managing incidents, ensuring prompt escalation and resolution. Developing and maintaining support documentation and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing clear technical guidance. Supporting audit, compliance, and reporting activities in line with organisational standards. Managing workflows, priorities, and contributing to team planning activities. The successful Service Desk Analyst will have experience in the following: Demonstrated experience in complex helpdesk, incident management, and ICT support environments. Strong technical skills across system configuration, installation, and software updates. Understanding of cloud environments and enterprise system integration. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders. Experience working with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence (desirable). Experience within Defence or intelligence environments (highly desirable).
