We believe in working together to achieve the job at hand and we are currently seeking an MC driver to deliver general freight from Adelaide to Whyalla, Monday to friday nights approximately 9-10 hours nightly. Qualifications & experience MC Drivers only - on gaining an interview all other driving duties will be discussed as per our employment contract. Tasks & responsibilities Monday to Friday departing Greenfields, Adelaide depot between 4:30 - 5:30pm, depending on loading. On arrival in Whyalla you will need to unlock depot yard and unhook the loaded general freight trailers. There will be another set of trailers that need to be returned to Adelaide. The Driver is to make sure to lock the Whyalla depot on departure. Trailers must be checked before departure from both Adelaide depot and Whyalla depot also during transit. Any loose ropes, straps or chains to be tightened and any freight that needs adjusting to be adjusted for safe travel. There is currently no scheduled freight stops between Greenfields and Whyalla, only stops are the stops the successful candidate wants to take. Whyalla trailers must be back in Greenfields by 7:30am the following morning. The position is currently paid by trip money and an hourly rate for all leave. The successful candidate must be approachable, reliable, trustworthy, clean and willing to be flexible.
