Full-Time Chef picy Connections Pty Ltd (T/A Doaba Indian Curry House ) Location: Thornlie WA 6108 Salary: $78,000 – $88,000 per annum Hours: 38 hours per week Doaba Indian Curry House (Spicy Connections Pty Ltd) is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. Located in Thornlie, we are a locally owned Indian restaurant providing authentic Indian cuisine to the residents of Thornlie, Huntingdale, Maddington, Gosnells, Langford, Canning Vale and surrounding areas. Our restaurant combines the authentic taste of India with a stylish presentation, creating a unique balance of tradition and comfort. We pride ourselves on preparing freshly made dishes using authentic Indian spices and herbs to deliver rich, mouth-watering flavours and aromas that cannot be replicated by generic curry powders. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present authentic Indian dishes with consistency and high quality. Plan, develop, and update menus, balancing traditional flavours with innovative dishes. Supervise, mentor, and train junior kitchen staff. Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships. Maintain compliance with workplace health and food safety standards. Contribute to smooth kitchen operations, including rostering and workflow management. Skills and Experience Required: Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate IV or higher) or equivalent industry experience. Minimum 1 year full-time experience as a Chef, preferably specialising in Indian cuisine. Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking methods, and authentic menu preparation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership and communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
