Canberra Neurology seeks a meticulous, resolute Practice Manager to join our team and oversee daily operations of our new growing clinic. As a manager, you will ensure our clinic continues to run smoothly, maintaining high standards of care and customer service. About the Clinic: Located in the heart of Canberra, ACT our specialist clinic consists of a resolute team of healthcare professionals, including three neurologists, two neuroscientists and psychiatrist. Our practice uses GENTU software to streamline operations and enhance patient care. Key Responsibilities: · Human Resources: Oversee recruitment, rostering, contracts, payroll, performance management, and conflict resolution for the entire clinical and administrative team. · Systems Development: Implement policies and procedures to improve quality, revenue, cost management, customer service, and patient care. · Finances: Manage accounts receivable and payable, banking, account reconciliation, and provide financial details to the bookkeeper. Help with payroll. · Business Planning & Development: Collaborate with the team to identify growth opportunities, improve service delivery, and develop strategies for increasing income and reducing costs. · Team Collaboration: Work with doctors, technicians, and administrative staff to maintain a cohesive, high-functioning team and ensure the highest standard of patient care. · KPI Management: Help with the operations when required · MBS Items & Billing: Optimize MBS item usage to maximize revenue. · Eclipse billing: Optimize inpatient medical claims for specialists. · Staff Efficiency: Monitor and improve the productivity of admin staff and technicians. · Service & Financial Improvement: Develop strategies to enhance patient services, increase income, and reduce expenses. · Reporting & Debt Management: Generate financial and operational reports and manage outstanding payments. · Resource & Workforce Management: Ensure the effective use of consultation rooms and staff resources. · Exemptions & Rostering: Manage staff rosters and ensure appropriate coverage. · Physician rostering: Manage doctor rosters for in-patient duties. · Staff Assessment: Evaluate staff performance and implement strategies for improvement. Experience & Attributes: · Proven leadership and management experience in a specialist practice or General Practice or similar healthcare setting. . Diploma / Degree in practice management is desirable · Experience in using GENTU software program is highly advantageous. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. · Strong organizational and time management skills with a solutions-focused mindset. · Experience managing multiple priorities and working under pressure. · Understanding of KPIs and performance improvement in a healthcare setting. · Ability to manage conflict and demanding situations with professionalism and patience.
