We focus on: • listed company statutory audits • statutory audits ranging from small private companies to large private and public companies • real estate trusts • solicitors trusts • registered clubs and associations • compliance audits • strata audits KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supporting the planning, reviewing and conducting of audits of financial statements; o Preparing cash flow reports. o General Ledger reconciliations. o Producing high quality financial reports with recommendations. o Planning and executing audit tests to provide assurance of underlying data Supporting the Audit team by o Analytical review o Highlighting key controls o Researching key issues o Preparation of confirmation letters o Completing lead schedules o Audit planning o Risk assessment o Accounts preparation o Materiality assessment o Finalisation letters and reports o File completion and review • Assisting the team with medium to large audits. • Using Caseware, BGL, MYOB and other computer based audit and accounting software. • Developing strong relationships with clients. • Liaising with clients and external accountants in the completion of our audit procedures. • Training staff to assist in developing their audit skills. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an External Audit environment, or a professional services firm within Australia. • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business and/or Commerce. • Completed, commenced or intend to complete the CAANZ Program is advantageous. • Completed, commenced or intend to become a Registered Company Auditor is advantageous. • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. • Have advanced excel skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • Be self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines. • Enjoy being part of a team and working with experienced and dedicated senior managers who are passionate about what they do.
