About the Role: They are seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Draftsperson to join their team. This hands-on position requires strong technical capability in drafting and documentation, along with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality design outcomes. The ideal candidate will be proficient in industry-standard drafting software and confident in reading, interpreting, and producing detailed architectural drawings. You’ll play a key role in transforming concepts into build-ready documentation, contributing directly to the delivery of custom homes. Minimum Requirements: ? Bachelor Degree – Architecture/ Architectural Drafting (or equivalent) ? Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, layouts and specifications for new residential dwellings, custom homes and property development projects using CAD softwares. Develop concept drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections and construction documentation based on client requirements, architectural designs and engineering specifications. Modify and customise existing home designs and floor plans to meet individual client preferences, site conditions, budget requirements and regulatory standards. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, building designers and project managers to gather project information and translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings. Produce documentation required for Development Applications (DA), Building Approval, Council submissions and other statutory approval processes. Prepare detailed working drawings incorporating structural, site, floor, roof, drainage and service layouts in accordance with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and local council requirements. Coordinate with structural engineers, energy assessors, surveyors and certifiers to ensure all drawings comply with engineering requirements and planning regulations. Review architectural and engineering plans to identify design inconsistencies, construction issues and drafting errors prior to project commencement. Revise and update drawings throughout the design and construction phases to accommodate client variations, design changes and regulatory requirements. Prepare schedules for doors, windows, finishes, fixtures and fittings to support construction documentation and procurement activities. Assist in preparing material quantities, preliminary cost estimates and design documentation for tendering and project planning purposes. Maintain accurate electronic records of drawings, revisions, project documentation and version control within the company's document management systems. Conduct site measurements and inspections where required to verify existing conditions and ensure drafting accuracy for renovations, custom builds and development projects. Collaborate with construction supervisors and project managers to resolve design-related queries arising during construction and provide updated documentation when required. Research and apply current building regulations, planning policies, construction methods and sustainable design principles to improve project outcomes and ensure ongoing compliance.
