Qualifications & Experience Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (minimum requirement) At least 1 year of proven experience as a Chef Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment In-depth understanding of food preparation, produce, and quality standards Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality Cook meals to order with accurate timing to maintain freshness and optimal serving temperature Uphold high standards of flavour, texture, and visual presentation Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients while maintaining authenticity Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Manage kitchen inventory, maintaining optimal stock levels and minimising waste Lead, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment Keep accurate records of stock levels, equipment maintenance, and kitchen operations Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures Contribute to continuous improvement of kitchen processes, systems, and service standards Why Join Us Opportunities for career growth and development Competitive remuneration based on experience Friendly and supportive team environment
