Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Plasterer (Wall & Ceiling) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster and plasterboard finishes to interior walls and ceilings across various residential and commercial construction projects. Key Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret building plans and specifications to determine wall and ceiling layouts Estimate material requirements for wall and ceiling plastering tasks Apply plaster to interior wall and ceiling surfaces to achieve smooth, even, and level finishes Prepare wall and ceiling surfaces by cleaning, filling gaps, and applying bonding agents or primer where necessary Mix plaster materials to the correct consistency and workability Apply base coats and finish coats to walls and ceilings in accordance with project specifications Install, fix, and finish plasterboard (drywall) systems on wall and ceiling frames Set out and install plasterboard ceiling grids and suspended ceiling systems Tape, set, and sand plasterboard joints on walls and ceilings to a smooth finish Apply cornice and ceiling rose installations as required Install corner beads, stopping beads, and shadow line trims on wall and ceiling junctions Sand and smooth finished wall and ceiling surfaces to required texture prior to painting Repair and patch damaged plaster on walls and ceilings Set up and operate scaffolding and access equipment safely for ceiling work Follow all workplace health and safety procedures Essential Requirements Related qualification preferred Minimum 2–3 years of plastering experience in the construction industry, with demonstrated wall and ceiling work Proficient in wet plastering, plasterboard installation, taping and setting, and ceiling systems Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Comfortable working at height on scaffolding and elevated platforms Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic What We Offer Competitive hourly rates commensurate with experience Ongoing work with an established construction company Opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial projects Supportive team environment Career development opportunities
