Job Statement

Genesis Minerals is currently seeking an Electrician to join our Site Services Maintenance team at our Leonora Operations.

Reporting to the Site Services Supervisor, you will effectively be responsibile for the repair and maintenance of all Genesis electrical equipment and infrastructure to maintain operational goals.

This role is offered on a balanced 8 days on / 6 days off roster offering either FIFO from Perth, DIDO from Kalgoorlie or residential to Leonora.

The opportunity

Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and equipment at mine camp sites and domestic houses, including power distribution systems, lighting, GPO and Camp kitchen appliances.
Carry out statutory inspections of electrical equipment and provide accurate and detailed reports.
Undertake scheduled preventative electrical maintenance tasks to ensure optimum performance and to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
Ensure electrical maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with specifications, relevant standards and regulatory guidelines
Ensure all equipment is properly commissioned before being handing back to service and ensure personnel access to all electrical infrastructure and equipment is safe and compliant.
Liaison and cooperation with supply personnel, mechanical trades, and plant supervisors to ensure optimum equipment performance and availability.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing electrical tasks, including lockout/tagout procedures and arc flash safety

Relevant & recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
‘A’ grade electrical worker’s licence
Low Voltage Rescue
Current unencumbered Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence;
Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in both an industrial setting and domestic.
Awareness of Office of Energy Electrical Requirements, WHS Mines Regulations and AS/NZS 3000wiring Rules and Regulations
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
