Job Description As part of the WynActive lifeguard crew, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming and fun environment for everyone who visits our aquatic facilities. Reporting to the Aquatic Operations Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supervising our facilities and ensuring a safe experience for all patrons. Key Responsibilities Supervise pools in line with deployment plans at AquaPulse and Werribee Outdoor Pool Operate and monitor water slides and aquatic play areas Respond quickly and effectively to incidents and emergencies Accurately report incidents, hazards and risks Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation Assist with pool setup and pack-down activities What We’re Looking For (Personal Attributes) Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse communities Confident in managing conflict and enforcing pool safety rules Commitment to safety, customer service, and continuous improvement Proactive in identifying potential hazards and risks Sound judgement and ability to perform dynamic risk assessments Desired Skills and Experience We’re looking for candidates who hold (or are willing to obtain): Pool Lifeguard Qualification Provide First Aid Provide CPR Working with Children Check (Employee – For any staff 18 years and older) National Police Check – (We will cover the cost) Note: Applicants will be required to complete in-water physical fitness testing during interviews. The following must be completed with competency: 200m Swim Non-contact Tow of conscious patient Retrieval of mannequin from a depth of 2.0m Why Join WynActive?
