Lead planning, cost, risk and reporting controls Perth-based Rail/PTA project, 12-month contract 4 days in office; full Australian work rights required We are currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join a major Rail / PTA infrastructure project based in Perth . This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre project controls professional who can lead planning, scheduling, cost management, risk management, and reporting across a complex project environment. You will play a key role in supporting project delivery by providing accurate analysis, controls, and insights to help ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned to project objectives and milestones Monitor progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, and cost tracking Analyse cost performance and variances and provide practical recommendations Identify, assess, and monitor project risks and maintain the risk register Prepare regular project controls reports, dashboards, and performance analysis Provide earned value reporting including EVM, CPI, and SPI Support stakeholders with accurate and timely project data Drive continuous improvement in project controls processes, tools, and reporting standards Ensure compliance with recognised project management and project controls methodologies Key Requirements 7–10 years’ experience in project controls, project management, or a similar role Proven experience working on large-scale, complex infrastructure projects Experience in Rail / PTA projects will be highly regarded Strong background in planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, risk management, and reporting Proficiency with project controls tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, or similar Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM) and project performance reporting Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, AACE CCP, or equivalent will be highly regarded What’s on Offer Opportunity to work on a significant Rail / PTA project 12-month contract opportunity Based in Perth, Western Australia 4 days mandatory in the office A key role within a complex and high-impact project environment Eligibility Only candidates with full Australian work rights will be considered.
