Job description Role Opportunity Join a leading gold mining operator as a Project Engineer - Civil/Structural (8/6 FIFO roster) delivering concrete, steel and process plant structures on a major site project. Benefits 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, Brisbane or Darwin Initial 12 month contract with strong chance of extension Client side project delivery environment Full day pay on fly in, Half day pay on fly out Qualifications & Skills Formal Civil/Structural Engineering qualifications that are recognised by Engineers Australia. 5- 10 years experience as a Project Engineer, with a strong mining project background. Project Engineering background delivering mining concrete and structural steel work packages Client side delivery exposure highly regarded Good understanding of engineering workflows, including technical queries (TQs), design reviews, and consultant coordination Skilled in producing technical documentation such as reports and scopes of work Proficient in using MS Project for scheduling, budgeting, and project management controls Strong written and verbal communication skills Duties & Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end delivery of large concrte and steel mining packages ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule. Oversee the technical development of projects, including coordination of design reviews, management of consultants, and resolution of technical queries (TQs). Prepare and review key project documentation such as scopes of work, technical reports, and delivery schedules. Monitor and control project performance using MS Project, ensuring effective schedule and cost management. Ensure all works are executed safely and to the required quality standards, in line with company and regulatory requirements. Engage with stakeholders and contribute to clear, timely communication across project phases.
