About the Role An opportunity exists for an experienced Administrative Support Officer to join a busy government team responsible for delivering high-quality administrative services within a customer-focused environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring enquiries, records, correspondence and workflow activities are managed accurately and efficiently. Position: Administrative Support Officer – $41/hour super (PAYG) or $41/hour flat rate (ABN) Location: Parramatta Working Arrangement: Full-time office based, Monday to Friday Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until 30 June 2026 with potential extension until Christmas Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 9:00am to 5:00pm Key Responsibilities Manage and distribute incoming correspondence through shared inboxes and internal workflow systems Respond to enquiries from customers, service providers and stakeholders via phone and email Maintain accurate customer, stakeholder and supplier records within organisational systems Prepare routine correspondence, reports, forms and administrative documentation Perform high-volume data entry while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Coordinate meetings, schedule appointments and provide administrative support for team activities Record and maintain electronic files, databases and document management systems Assist with minute taking, agenda preparation and follow-up actions from meetings Support business improvement initiatives, research activities and project-related tasks Monitor service requests and escalate matters where required Adhere to government policies, procedures and confidentiality requirements Contribute to a positive team culture focused on customer service and continuous improvement Assist with records management, archiving and compliance activities Provide general administrative support across multiple business functions as required About You Previous experience in administration, business support, customer service or office coordination roles Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated experience managing high-volume inboxes, enquiries or workflow tasks Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams Experience working within government, community services, legal, financial services or regulated environments will be highly regarded Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment Experience using records management or case management systems is advantageous Australian working rights are essential.
