Trades & Services Aircon / Refrigeration Brisbane Permanent / Full Time 10/3/2026 1428723 HVAC / Refrigeration Preventative Maintenance Technician Location: Brisbane Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Commercial & Retail Facilities Maintenance About the Role We are seeking an experienced HVAC / Refrigeration Preventative Maintenance Technician to service and maintain equipment across a portfolio of commercial and retail facilities, including supermarkets, petroleum service stations, banks, and government sites. This role focuses on scheduled preventative maintenance , ensuring HVAC and refrigeration systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Australian Standards. You will be working across multiple operational sites, carrying out inspections, servicing equipment, identifying potential issues, and ensuring systems remain reliable and compliant. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems Inspect, service, and maintain: Packaged air conditioning units Split and multi-split systems Commercial refrigeration equipment Ventilation and exhaust systems Conduct temperature, airflow, and performance checks Identify system faults, wear, or inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions Handle refrigerants safely and in accordance with environmental regulations Complete maintenance reports and compliance documentation Ensure all works meet Australian Standards, WHS requirements, and client specifications Essential Requirements HVAC / Refrigeration Trade Qualification ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence White Card Current Driver's Licence Experience in commercial or retail maintenance environments Strong understanding of preventative maintenance programs Compliance & Standards All work must comply with relevant Australian Standards including: AS/NZS 3666 - Air-handling and Water Systems (Microbial Control) AS/NZS 5149 - Refrigerating Systems and Heat Pumps AS 1677 - Refrigerating Systems AS/NZS 3000 - Electrical Installations (where applicable) Ozone Protection & Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Regulations WHS Act & Regulations Desirable Experience with commercial refrigeration systems Petroleum or hazardous area site experience Government or critical infrastructure maintenance experience LVR / CPR Working at Heights / EWP Working with Children Check WPCG (Petroleum industry experience) Why Join Us Work across a diverse range of commercial facilities Stable full-time role with ongoing work Opportunity to work with major commercial and retail clients If this sounds like a role you would be interested in, then please apply or email your resume to scottc@harrisonbarratt.com.au
