With approximately 400 employees across multiple business entities , this organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering complex projects while maintaining a hands-on, family-oriented culture . They are now seeking an experienced HR / OHS Manager to take ownership of the people, safety and compliance functions across the group. This is not a traditional HR role . This is a rare opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, operational environments and enjoys building structure, improving accountability and driving meaningful change. Working directly with the Directors and senior operational leaders, you will play a key role in helping professionalize and scale the business as it enters its next phase of growth. The Opportunity You will lead and improve the people and safety functions across the business, with responsibilities including: Leading recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and retention Managing employee relations, disciplinary matters and workplace investigations Overseeing apprentice programs, training and development initiatives Driving WHS compliance, safety culture and continuous improvement Managing WorkCover, injury management and return-to-work programs Supporting EBA implementation and industrial relations matters Conducting site visits and partnering with operational leaders Improving systems, processes, reporting and compliance documentation Supporting tender submissions, social procurement and strategic business initiatives About You You may come from HR, People & Culture, WHS, HSEQ or a hybrid leadership role. What matters most is your ability to operate confidently in a complex, blue-collar, project-driven environment. You will ideally bring: Strong experience in HR, workforce management and employee relations Exposure to construction, trade services, facilities management or industrial sectors Practical knowledge of WHS legislation, WorkCover and compliance Confidence working across all levels — from site teams through to Directors A proactive, hands-on approach with strong commercial judgement The ability to work autonomously and drive outcomes without heavy direction Why Join?
