A well-established Australian engineering and fabrication business specializing in custom metal fabrication, welding, machinery components, repairs, and engineered solutions is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker to join its skilled workshop team. About the Role As a Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker , you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, welding, and repairing steel components, machinery parts, and transport-related equipment. You will work on a variety of custom fabrication projects, ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in agricultural equipment fabrication and logistics transport manufacturing/repairs , with strong skills in MIG welding, mild steel fabrication, and structural steel work , including welding of Square Hollow Section (SHS) and Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS) . Key Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering plans, and specifications Fabricate and assemble steel components, machinery parts, trailers, agricultural equipment, and transport structures Perform quality MIG welding and fabrication tasks in a timely manner Weld and fabricate mild steel components, including Square Hollow Section (SHS) and Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS) Carry out cutting, grinding, drilling, measuring, fitting, and finishing of fabricated components Manufacture, repair, and modify agricultural machinery, trailers, and logistics transport equipment Operate workshop machinery, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently Complete fabrication repairs and modifications to existing equipment Ensure all work meets quality standards, engineering requirements, and safety procedures Work independently and collaboratively to meet production deadlines About You The successful candidate will have: Trade qualification and experience as a Metal Fabricator, Boilermaker, or Welder Demonstrated workshop fabrication experience Mandatory experience in agricultural equipment fabrication and/or logistics transport fabrication Strong MIG welding experience, particularly with mild steel fabrication Experience welding and fabricating Square Hollow Section (SHS) and Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS) Experience manufacturing or repairing trailers, transport equipment, agricultural machinery, or heavy steel structures Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and fabrication work Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Current driver's licence and reliable transport White Card and relevant tickets (e.g., Forklift, EWP) are preferred Why Join?
