Senior Business Analyst – Insurance Transformation (Guidewire) Specialist insurance transformation opportunity with a leading enterprise insurer. Sydney Based | Hybrid Working Senior Business Analyst with deep Guidewire expertise across ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, and/or BillingCenter. Business-focused BA – insurance industry experience is NECESSARY. We are partnering with a major insurer undergoing a large-scale, multi-year transformation program. This Senior Business Analyst opportunity is suited to a commercially minded professional who bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams - with hands-on Guidewire suite experience and a deep understanding of insurance operations across Claims and Policy Administration. Key Responsibilities: Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders across Claims, Policy Administration, and Underwriting functions. Analyse current-state business workflows and develop process maps to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Develop comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories to articulate desired outcomes for Guidewire configuration and enhancements. Act as the primary liaison between business users and technology/implementation teams throughout the Guidewire program lifecycle. Support end-to-end UAT coordination, including test planning, defect triage, and sign-off facilitation with business sponsors. Contribute to the development of operational and organisational design artefacts to support Guidewire go-live readiness. Drive business process re-engineering and change management activities to embed new ways of working post-implementation. Support the definition and monitoring of SLAs and business performance metrics aligned to Guidewire capability uplift. Initiate and facilitate best practice sharing, leveraging Guidewire product knowledge to inform solution design decisions. Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to business resources, supporting adoption of new processes and system capabilities. Key Requirements: Necessary Experience includes: Demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst within the insurance industry (life, general, or specialty). Hands-on experience across one or more modules of the Guidewire suite - ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, and/or BillingCenter. Strong business-side orientation - ability to translate complex insurance processes into clear, structured requirements without heavy technical involvement. Proven experience leading requirements workshops, stakeholder engagement, and business sign-off processes. Experience developing business requirements documentation, process maps, and functional specifications in a structured methodology. Preferred Experience includes: Experience across Claims and/or Policy Administration Systems (PAS) within a large enterprise insurer or reinsurer. Exposure to Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) and cloud transformation initiatives. Business process re-engineering experience within insurance transformation programs. Commercial and data analysis experience, including performance reporting and SLA monitoring. Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks and working within cross-functional product teams. Experience supporting or leading UAT, training delivery, and go-live readiness activities. Exposure to data migration, digital transformation, or regulatory-driven change programs within insurance.
