Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably within the construction industry. Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and construction safety requirements. Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Valid construction industry white card Drivers license Safety supervisor qualification and experience Working with children clearance (or able to obtain) Commercial building site experience Physically fit Qualifications and certificates for working at heights, operation of personnel hoist, confined space, traffic control etc would be highly desirable. Key responsibilities: Implement and maintain WHS policies and procedures across construction sites. Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and control hazards. Investigate incidents and near misses and recommend corrective actions. Provide WHS advice and support to managers, supervisors, and workers. Deliver safety inductions, training sessions, and toolbox talks. Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, standards, and company procedures. Assist in preparing safety documentation, including SWMS and JSAs. Maintain accurate safety records and reporting systems. Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
