Job Info Location: ADELAIDE, SA Salary: Not Specified Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Salary: AUD $75,000 – $96,000 per annum (plus superannuation) ABOUT THE ROLE Apply plaster, render, and other coatings to interior and exterior surfaces of walls and ceilings in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, patching, and priming to ensure appropriate adhesion of plaster coatings. Mix plaster compounds and materials to correct consistency in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Install and fix plasterboard (drywall/gyprock) systems including framing, sheeting, jointing, and finishing. Apply and finish fibrous plaster, solid plaster, and decorative finishes such as cornices, columns, and architectural features. Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and schedules to determine work scope and materials. Inspect and repair damaged or deteriorated plasterwork in existing structures. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code, and applicable work health and safety legislation. REQUIREMENTS Minimum 3 years of post-trade experience as a qualified Plasterer in residential and/or commercial construction. Demonstrated competency in both wet plaster (solid plaster/render) and dry wall (plasterboard) systems. Ability to produce high-quality smooth, textured, and decorative plaster finishes. Strong working knowledge of Australian building codes and relevant plastering standards. Ability to work from elevated platforms, scaffolding, and at heights when required. Excellent time management skills and ability to work to project schedules. Valid driver's licence (preferred). Commitment to workplace health and safety and safe work practices. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Certificate III in Plastering (Wall and Ceiling) (CPC31911) or Certificate III in Solid Plastering (CPC32011), or equivalent recognised overseas qualification – required. Completion of a recognised Australian apprenticeship in Plastering, or an overseas equivalent assessed by the relevant authority. Current White Card (Construction Induction Training – CPCCWHS1001) is required. State/territory plasterer's licence or registration where required by local regulations. Skills assessment from a recognised Australian authority may be required for visa application purposes. Experience with ornamental plastering, heritage restoration, or external insulation and finishing systems (EIFS) is an advantage.
