Contract Wedding & Event Venue Chef Alora Macedon Location: New Gisborne, VIC (approx. 45 minutes from Melbourne, just past Sunbury) Engagement: Contracted | Semi-regular, ongoing Availability Required: Weekend evenings About the Role Alora Macedon is seeking an experienced wedding and event venue chef to cater weddings and large-scale events on a semi-regular, ongoing contracted basis. This role is ideal for a chef who enjoys creative menu development, direct client interaction, and delivering high-quality food for premium events. Key Responsibilities Cater weddings and events on a semi-regular basis Liaise directly with clients to develop menus and manage dietary requirements Work closely with venue management to coordinate event delivery Execute shared feasting menus and/or three-course sit-down dining experiences Oversee food preparation and service for large-scale events Venue Support & Facilities Full commercial kitchen on site, including: Two combi ovens Stove top Walk-in cool room Freezer Food warmers Venue provides supplementary staff as required, including waitstaff, kitchen hands, and dish hands Essential Requirements Proven experience catering events for 200 guests Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with venue teams Availability for weekend evening events Professional presentation and commitment to high service standards Minimum of 2-3 years of professional chef experience Australian citizenship required What We Offer Ongoing contracted work at a premium wedding and event venue Well-equipped kitchen and operational support Opportunity to work directly with clients and shape event menus Consistent demand with a growing events calendar To apply: Please submit your CV and a brief overview of your large-scale event catering experience.
