We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance and administration team at our Head Office in Ormeau. This permanent full-time role is a key part of the business and will suit someone who is confident working in a fast-paced environment, enjoys accuracy, takes ownership of their work and can support the continued success, growth and profitability of the company. About the Role Reporting to management, you will be responsible for coordinating, maintaining and reviewing the company's accounting and financial records. The role will include day-to-day accounting duties, financial reporting, reconciliations, sales reporting, budgeting support, stock count involvement, office administration and broader business support. You will work closely with management and other team members to ensure financial information is accurate, complete and up to date. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the business Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable Complete bank account reconciliations Complete general ledger reconciliations Maintain and review company general ledgers Review and process expense claims and corporate credit card transactions Review general ledger allocations Prepare monthly BAS calculations and reporting information Prepare and process monthly standing journals Review and allocate prepayment accounts Maintain loan accounts and company lease records Assist with sales reporting, budgeting and financial analysis Assist with the annual budgeting process Support cyclical stock count processes Analyse and review financial information to ensure it is valid, complete and accurate Support annual external accounting or audit requirements where required Review accounts receivable master data and credit limits Assist with retail cash drawer duties when required Assist with event and show bookings Assist managers with relevant financial administration requirements Provide general office administration and operational support Work with management to monitor relevant business, industry and financial developments About You To be successful in this role, you will be organised, reliable and confident managing both accounting and administration responsibilities. You will have strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge and the ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment. You will ideally have: An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, or an Advanced Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting A minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general ledger maintenance Experience preparing BAS information and financial reports Knowledge and experience using Xero and Cin7 highly regarded Intermediate Excel proficiency is required, including experience with formulas and data analysis Excellent attention to detail Strong time management and organisational skills The ability to prioritise tasks and use initiative Strong verbal and written communication skills The ability to work in a fast-paced environment A proactive, hands-on attitude An interest in 4WD, camping or the outdoor lifestyle would be highly regarded Benefits Generous remuneration based on your level of experience Great staff discounts Friendly, family-orientated working environment Opportunity to assist at shows and events Equipment provided Work with a growing and well-known Australian adventure gear brand Important Information This position is based at our Head Office in Ormeau on the Gold Coast and is an office-based role only .
