Motel Manager, Panorama Retreat and Resort, Dandenong Ranges Premium Conference & Wedding Venue | Growth Leadership Role Redhill Hospitality Group is continuing its search for the right person to lead Panorama Retreat and Resort, our 60-room property nestled in the Dandenong Ranges. We are a growing hospitality group with a portfolio of properties across NSW, QLD, VIC, ACT, and WA, and we operate with a simple philosophy: every detail matters. This property is genuinely beautiful, and it has genuine commercial potential. It accommodates groups of up to 124 guests and sits in one of Victoria's most sought-after regional settings for weddings and corporate retreats. We are actively repositioning it to capture greater share of the conference and wedding market, and we need a Manager who can lead that work with both operational discipline and commercial drive. We have been selective in this search because the role demands a particular combination of skills: someone who can run a tight property operation day to day while simultaneously building a pipeline of wedding and conference business. If that describes you, we would genuinely like to hear from you. What the role involves You will take full accountability for the property's day-to-day operations and its commercial performance. This means leading all guest relations, managing reservations across all booking channels, overseeing financial management and property accounting, and delivering comprehensive weekly and monthly reporting to the broader management team. You will recruit, train, and lead property staff, maintaining strong labour cost controls and consistent service standards throughout. The growth dimension of the role is equally important. You will drive the property's repositioning toward the wedding and conference market through relationship building, targeted marketing, and the seamless coordination and delivery of events. You will also oversee ongoing maintenance and facility upgrades that support this repositioning, and ensure the property remains fully compliant with company policy and all relevant regulatory requirements. What we are looking for You will bring proven hotel or motel management experience, which is essential, along with demonstrated experience in conference and/or wedding planning and a track record of growing that type of business. Beyond the technical background, we are looking for someone with genuine entrepreneurial energy, the commercial instinct to identify and pursue revenue opportunities, and the leadership capability to bring a team along with them. You will be comfortable working autonomously within a structured and supportive group environment, participating in weekly management team calls, and escalating matters appropriately. Strong financial acumen, excellent written and verbal communication, and the capacity to handle challenging guest or operational situations with professionalism are all important.
