Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a full time Horticulture Trainee to work with our valued Host Employer, with work sites located across the Adelaide region. As a trainee, you will undertake a Certificate III in Horticulture, combining practical, on-the-job experience with formal training to gain a nationally recognised qualification. As a Horticulture Trainee, you may: Prepare seedbeds for new turf Establish and maintain turf by watering, over sowing or over seeding, and repairing green damage Mow, roll, and level turf Peg and mark out lines and logos, installing nets, posts and stumps, and placing other sports equipment on playing areas Operate and maintain hand and power driven equipment such as mowers, aerators, cultivators, corers and line marking equipment Construct cricket wickets and football ovals Replant, repair, aerate, fertilise and top dress lawns Install and maintain synthetic surfaces Maintain buildings, fences, and surrounding gardens Position Requirements Current driver’s licence Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and develop new skills Enjoy working outdoors and using garden tools and equipment Reliable, punctual, and well organised Ability to use initiative and work effectively in a team
