Based in Kewdale, Western Australia, the company specialises in the supply, assembly, repair, and maintenance of pumps and pumping systems, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, reliability, and customer service. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Fitter (General) to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in the assembly, testing, maintenance, and repair of pumps and associated equipment while ensuring compliance with workplace safety and quality standards. This is a full-time ongoing position based in Kewdale, WA 6105. Main tasks: Interpreting technical drawings, quality documentation, and special instructions to determine correct assembly and testing processes. Assembling pumps, pump systems and associated equipment in line with drawings, work instructions, and quality plans. Testing pump equipment using workshop test rigs and equipment to ensure products meet specification and customer requirements. Stripping down used pumps and diagnosing faults to determine repair work on machinery and parts to be undertaken on behalf of client. Selecting and using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and components safely and effectively. Safely operating mobile equipment (forklifts) and overhead cranes to position parts and equipment into place. Participating in daily pre-starts, planning meetings, and toolbox talks, contributing ideas and raising issues early to support team outcomes. Collaborating with colleagues across operations, quality, and service teams to deliver reliable products and continuous improvement Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience: Minimum of a relevant Certificate III qualification, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or a relevant Certificate IV qualification; and At least one year of relevant industry experience. Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge: Experience working with pumps, rotating equipment, or mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely. Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures and practices. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Good communication and organisational skills. Annual salary will be between $82,000.00 to $92,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
