About The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Purchasing Officer to support our operations by managing timely and cost-effective procurement of parts, materials and inventory for projects across Western Australia. This role is based in our Head Office in West Perth. You will be responsible for ensuring site teams receive the right goods at the right time, while maintaining strong supplier relationships, accurate purchasing records, and effective inventory control. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and freight providers to coordinate purchasing activities, monitor stock levels, and contribute to continuous improvement across procurement processes. Key Responsibilities Source and procure parts, materials, and services to support project and maintenance requirements Raise and manage purchase orders in line with company procedures Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and timely delivery Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels of critical spare parts Coordinate freight, transport, and deliveries to remote project sites Track shipments and manage urgent delivery requirements as needed Maintain purchasing documentation and ensure compliance with company systems and procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement efficiency and cost savings About You Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or inventory roles within mining, civil, construction, or maintenance environments Strong administrative, organisational, and time management skills with high attention to detail Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, supplier relationship management skills, ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholders Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing systems; FleetMEX experience advantageous Proactive, reliable, and team-focused with a continuous improvement mindset Relevant qualifications in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or similar are desirable Full Australian Working Rights Benefits & Rewards Competitive salary package plus superannuation Supportive training, development and professional career growth Join a company with a solid pipeline of work Visit our website at www.icontracting.com.au iContracting is an equal-opportunity employer that encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply.
