Your responsibilities will include: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Data Officer to join our Maritime Configuration and Data Management Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Document/Records Management to expand their career into configuration management, as significant on-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate. In this role, the primary responsibilities will focus on Data Management tasks including, managing the Programs technical data, deliveries to/from the customer, document editing/publishing, and managing technical data deliveries to/from subcontractors. You will work closely with engineers, project teams, and stakeholders to help maintain the integrity and accuracy of program information and documentation. With support from senior team members, some of your responsibilities will include: Applying the processes and procedures for the identification, control and distribution of project data Coordinating reviews of documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met Documenting registration, control and distribution Sharing information between the LMA and external parties, ensuring data sensitivities are maintained Gathering, maintaining, formatting, compiling, and manipulating technical data to support engineering reporting Supporting end users in the most optimal use of LMA’s Electronic Document Management (Windchill) system Progressing change objects through the review and Configuration Management process Supporting the continuous improvement activities as they relate to the Information Management capability Providing support to Configuration Manager as required About you: This position is situated within the Engineering Information Team. Although a background in Defence and/or Engineering is desirable, it is not essential. Candidates with a background in Data, Records Management or Information Management from a Local, State, or Federal Government related background are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must demonstrate that they have a background in Document/Records Management, are a proficient user of Windows based computer systems, and have fast and accurate data entry skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders are essential. You must also be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence NV1 Security Clearance. Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1) and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
