In a hospital, every call matters. As the first point of contact, you will be the "voice" of the facility, ensuring patients, staff, and emergency services are connected swiftly and accurately. The Role This isn't just "answering phones." You are the central hub of hospital communications. Your daily responsibilities will include: High-Volume Call Handling: Managing a high frequency of incoming internal and external calls with speed and professionalism. Emergency Response: Monitoring alarms and paging systems, including coordinating "Code" responses (e.g., medical emergencies or fire alerts). Patient Directory: Assisting the public with patient location inquiries and general hospital information. Paging & Messaging: Directing messages to medical staff and specialists across various departments. What You Bring Exceptional Communication: A clear, empathetic, and professional phone manner. Resilience: The ability to remain calm and focused during high-stress emergency situations. Tech Savvy: Ability to learn complex PBX or digital switchboard systems quickly. Reliability: A track record of punctuality and dedication. Availability & Flexibility (Mandatory) Hospitals never sleep, and neither does the switchboard. To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria: Immediate Availability: We are looking for candidates who can start training as soon as possible. Shift Flexibility: You must be available to work a rotating roster that includes mornings, afternoons, and overnight shifts.
