IT Support (Level 1/2) We are partnering with a global manufacturing leader to recruit an IT Support Technician for their Christchurch facility. This is a 12-month, fully on-site contract suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, hands-on work, and being the go-to person for IT on a busy operational site. The Role You will be the primary on-site IT contact, responsible for maintaining the day-to-day technology environment across both corporate and operational teams. Working directly from the facility, you’ll provide responsive, face-to-face support and ensure systems, devices, and users remain productive with minimal downtime. This is a highly independent role where you will manage your own workload, prioritise requests, and take ownership of the site’s IT performance. Key Responsibilities On-Site IT Support: Provide Level 1 & 2 support to all site users, acting as the main point of contact for IT issues Hardware & Devices: Troubleshoot and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals, including operational equipment such as scanners and thermal printers User & Access Management: Manage onboarding/offboarding, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory accounts, and device imaging (Windows 10/11) Basic Networking: Perform patching, connectivity checks, and TCP/IP troubleshooting Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of all on-site IT equipment and inventory About You 1–3 years’ experience in IT support (desktop/helpdesk/field support) Comfortable working independently and managing your own priorities Strong communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to be active on the floor Reliable and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership The Details Contract: 12-month initial term Location: Christchurch (fully on-site) Environment: Global, well-established manufacturing organisation Why Apply?
