Reporting to the Purchasing Team Leader, this role is a critical support function across inbound logistics, purchasing, and forecasting for Australia and New Zealand. As the Supply Chain and Purchasing Assistant, your day will involve coordinating shipments, managing purchase orders and working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure products arrive on time and in full. You will also be responsible for - Liaising with international and domestic suppliers about production schedules and shipping timelines; Booking and managing freight (local and international); Tracking shipments and proactively managing delivery timelines; Processing supplier invoices, including shipping and customs charges; Monitoring container free time to avoid additional costs; Managing backorders and identifying solutions for stock shortages and Overseeing stock transfers, reworks, and inventory movements. About You! Our ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-focused and thrives in a fast-moving environment. You take ownership, follow up and solve problems before they escalate. You will also be/have - Previous experience in an administrative, purchasing or inventory-related role within Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehousing industries (essential). Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders. High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Solid understanding of supply chain or purchasing processes. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
