The Opportunity This is a Senior Design & Estimation leadership role responsible for driving the full pre-construction function across tenders, design coordination, and commercial strategy. You will play a key role in developing winning methodologies, pricing complex foundation packages, and ensuring all solutions are both technically sound and commercially competitive. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, estimating, and client engagement. This is a highly influential position within the business, working closely with senior leadership, clients, and delivery teams across major infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end preparation of tenders, estimates, and D&C proposals Review geotechnical reports and develop appropriate foundation methodologies Oversee design coordination across piling and ground improvement works Deliver accurate cost planning including plant, labour, materials, and risk allowances Develop value engineering solutions to improve cost, program, and constructability Manage multiple concurrent bids across infrastructure and civil projects Engage with Tier 1 contractors, consultants, and government clients Participate in tender interviews and technical presentations Support continuous improvement of estimating and pre-construction processes About You Degree qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering Strong background in piling, ground engineering, or specialist foundations Experience in estimating, pre-construction, or design management roles Strong understanding of ground improvement and foundation systems (e.g. CFA, bored piles, DSM, jet grouting, rigid inclusions) Proven experience delivering on major infrastructure or civil projects Strong commercial acumen and ability to assess risk and opportunity in tenders Confident managing multiple deadlines and complex bids simultaneously Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders What’s on Offer Senior leadership role with genuine impact on project wins and strategy Opportunity to work on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects Strong pipeline of ongoing secured work Highly technical and respected specialist contractor environment Competitive salary package aligned to experience Relocation assistance available for the right candidate Long-term career progression within a growing business If you would like more information about this opportunity, please contact Rachel on 0406 168 580 or email directly on rachel.bales@acrworld.com.
