About the Job There is an exciting opportunity with the Asset Management Department for a Technical Officer - Fleet. This position is to assist the Manager Asset Operations in responding to customer requests and forward program development in relation to fleet coordination activities within the Shire. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Facilitate the purchase and disposal of heavy plant, light vehicles and sundry plant according to Shire policy. Assist in the formulation of council policies and procedures in relation to fleet management as directed. Monitor and report fleet utilisation. This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week. About you In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have: Previous experience with fleet management. Knowledge of procurement process, including policy, tendering and quoting. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Benefits Salary Range : $76,351.00 - $82,317.00 (dependant on applicant) Permanent staff are entitled to: 5 weeks annual leave per year The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week.
