A family owned broadacre, dryland, cropping and livestock operation near Esperance are looking to employ an experienced Farm Hand. Our operation is looking to add to an experienced and stable team. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, an ability to work harmoniously in a team, problem solve; and be careful, reliable and thorough in their approach to tasks. Duties extend to: Operation and maintenance of modern GPS guided farm equipment, covering soil cultivation, seeding, spraying, fertiliser spreading, chaser bin and harvesting activities. Farm infrastructure maintenance including workshop, fences, sheds, yards and water infrastructure. Assist with maintenance of other farm plant and equipment Undertaking in-crop health inspection and reporting Livestock surveillance, handling and husbandry Meticulous maintenance of relevant digital operational and inventory records and crop data collection systems. Adhere to a high standard of personal presentation and farm safety practices. The role will have significant scope for training and skill development across all aspects of the operation. Essential Skills and Qualifications: A current manual C class Drivers Licence At least One Year's experience and demonstrated capability of operating farm seeding plant, sprayers and harvesting equipment. A working understanding of basic heavy machinery maintenance A demonstrated capability to operate digital farm, operational and record keeping systems A demonstrated ability to perform and report on, in-crop inspections. Commitment to a safe working environment and culture. Desirable Skills and Attributes Specific knowledge of Case Rowtrac and Claas Xerion Tractors and Claas 770 and 8800 Harvesters would be an advantage An understanding of Farm Software systems: John Deere Operations and Agworld would be viewed favourably. A good communicator who takes satisfaction in a job done well. An ability to display initiative and problem solve.
