This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation and problem solving and is motivated to grow into a customer-facing Key Account Manager role over time . You’ll start by learning the foundations of our business — supporting customers, preparing quotes, and coordinating jobs — with clear opportunities to develop your skills, build relationships, and take on greater responsibility as you grow. This is an entry-level role and we welcome applicants who are interested in learning about the engineering and manufacturing industry. You'll be working closely with a small, supportive office team in a friendly environment. You will help manage customer enquiries, prepare quotes, and ensure jobs move smoothly through our production process while working closely with both our office and workshop teams. You'll also gain exposure to modern manufacturing technologies including CNC machining and industrial 3D printing. The Role Your responsibilities will include: • Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email • Preparing and sending quotations using MYOB Exo • Following up quotations and building rapport with customers • Processing customer orders and generating job documentation for production • Coordinating material purchasing and supplier orders when required • Liaising with customers, sales staff, and workshop personnel regarding job specifications, delivery times, and variations • Preparing final documentation for completed jobs including invoices and certificates of conformance • Maintaining accurate job records and documentation As you develop in the role, you will: • Build relationships with repeat customers • Gain a deeper understanding of products, applications, and customer needs • Be supported to grow into managing your own customer accounts About You We are looking for someone who: • Has a positive attitude and enjoys helping others • Is organised and has strong attention to detail • Communicates clearly and confidently on the phone and via email • Has good computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, PDF editing) • Works well in a team environment • Is reliable and takes pride in their work • Enjoys being organised and supporting both customers and internal teams • Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, email management, and PDF editing software Experience in manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, or industrial businesses will be highly regarded.
