About the Opportunity We are looking for a Deputy Company Secretary to join our team and play an important role in supporting strong corporate governance practices across the organisation. In this role, you will help ensure company secretarial functions are delivered efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements and best-practice governance standards. Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Corporate and Regulation, you will be part of the Corporate and Regulation division and work closely with the Company Secretary, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Board Sub-Committees, and Boards to support effective decision-making, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. This role is flexible in its location and can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth. Key Responsibilities Coordinate Board and Committee processes, including preparing agendas, notices of meetings, and clear, high-quality board papers aligned with governance best practice Provide end-to-end secretarial support to Boards and Committees, including attending meetings, recording proceedings, and preparing accurate minutes and resolutions, with appropriate follow-up actions Maintain statutory registers and corporate governance records, ensuring all filings and updates with ASIC and other relevant regulators are accurate, complete, and submitted on time Support shareholder engagement by responding to requests for information, assisting with reporting requirements, and maintaining records of shareholder structural entity arrangements Provide governance support and advice to the Company Secretary and ELT, helping ensure alignment with corporate governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory obligations Oversee and maintain key governance registers, including the Safe Custody contracts register, ensuring corporate records are accurate, secure, and accessible About You Tertiary qualification in Corporate Governance, Law, Commerce, Auditing, or a related discipline Experience in a company secretarial or legal role, ideally within the energy industry Ability to coordinate and support Board and Committee meeting processes Experience in governance practices, including minute-taking and maintaining accurate records Experience engaging with regulators such as ASIC, ACCC, and other government bodies What We Offer We are proud to be recognised as an inclusive employer by Diversity Council Australia, and our commitment to diversity and inclusion has earned us recognition in 2025-2026.
