Our business has trained thousands of drone pilots and continues to expand into advanced drone operations, specialist training, aerial services, emerging technologies and industry capability programs. We are now looking for a motivated and commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our Perth team and help drive the next stage of growth. About the Role This is a full-time Perth-based role for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and converting enquiries into real business. You will work closely with our leadership, operations, training and marketing teams to grow revenue across our training programs, corporate accounts, school programs, specialist drone services and emerging business opportunities. This is a hands-on role. You will be expected to follow up leads, open doors, build partnerships, manage client relationships and help turn good ideas into commercial outcomes. Key Responsibilities Your role will include: Identifying and developing new business opportunities across key industries Following up inbound enquiries and converting leads into bookings Building relationships with corporate, government, education and industry clients Preparing proposals, quotes and client communications Promoting GDS training programs, specialist courses and consulting services Supporting marketing campaigns, webinars, events and industry engagement Maintaining accurate records in our CRM Working with the team to improve sales processes and customer experience Representing GDS professionally at meetings, events and industry functions About You We are looking for someone who is energetic, professional and commercially aware. You will ideally have: Proven experience in business development, sales, account management or client relationship management Strong communication and follow-up skills Confidence speaking with business owners, managers, government clients and industry professionals A practical, can-do attitude Good organisational skills and attention to detail The ability to work independently and as part of a team A genuine interest in technology, drones, aviation, training or emerging industries Experience in drones, aviation, training, RTOs, mining, resources, education or technology would be highly regarded, but attitude and ability matter most.
