We are currently seeking an experienced Jumbo Trainer to join a well-established underground operation. This is a 12-month contract opportunity offering strong site support, flexibility on rates, and the chance to play a key role in developing operator capability and driving performance improvements across the crew. The opportunity: Roster: 12/9 (Thursday to Monday) Shift: Permanent days, with flexibility to cover nights if required Duration: 12-month contract Rates: Highly competitive and flexible for the right candidate This role is ideal for a senior Jumbo Operator looking to step into a training-focused position, or an experienced Trainer/Assessor wanting to take ownership of site-wide development systems. Key responsibilities: Develop and implement operator training and development plans Track and report on performance through operator scorecards Produce jumbo performance reports to support maintenance and optimise equipment efficiency Conduct procedure reviews and contribute to continuous improvement Provide occasional jumbo operational coverage as required Assist with UG Supervisor coverage (desirable but not essential ). About you: Extensive experience operating jumbos underground Previous experience in a training, mentoring, or leadership capacity highly regarded Strong understanding of UG mining practices and production cycles Ability to analyse performance data and drive improvement initiatives Excellent communication and organisational skills Current underground certifications (Trainer & Assessor advantageous but not essential ).
