ATS Solutions is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our Professional Services team in Perth. This is a senior technical role for someone who thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges across a diverse client base. You'll be the escalation point for tricky technical issues, mentor junior technicians, and take ownership of projects from design through to delivery. The role blends remote support with regular on-site work at client premises across Perth and regional WA. What You'll Do Advanced Technical Support Provide remote and on-site support for servers, desktops, networks, storage, and backup systems Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Autopilot deployments at scale Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and network infrastructure Administer phone systems, remote connectivity, and IoT infrastructure Investigate and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities Perform disaster recovery testing and backup restoration Manage security certificates and secure remote access solutions Projects & Infrastructure Design, deploy, and migrate server and storage infrastructure Build and configure virtual machine environments (VMware/Hyper-V) Perform hardware refreshes, office relocations, and new site setups Take ownership of complex cross-vendor integrations Assist with pre-sales solution design, scoping, and estimation Mentoring & Team Support Act as escalation point for tickets beyond junior technician scope Share knowledge, research, and lessons learned with the team Participate in interviews and onboarding of new technical staff Documentation & Client Relations Maintain accurate client network documentation and asset records Produce incident reports, security assessments, and process guides Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients across industries What We're Looking For Essential 5 years IT support experience, including 2 years in an MSP environment at senior/escalation level Strong interpersonal and communication skills Driver’s license and vehicle Police clearance Strong Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022) Deep experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune Network administration: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls Virtualisation experience (VMware vSphere / ESXi or Hyper-V) Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience with PSA/ticketing systems Desirable Cyber experience with SIEM, Essential 8, ISO 27001, etc. Microsoft MCSA/MCSE or Azure certifications Phone system administration experience PowerShell scripting and automation Project management or coordination experience Backup and disaster recovery solutions Linux/Ubuntu server administration ITIL or CompTIA Security certification Remote-site connectivity experience What We Offer Diverse and challenging technical work across multiple industries Mix of remote and on-site work across Perth and regional WA Supportive team with strong knowledge-sharing and mentoring culture Exposure to cutting-edge projects: IoT integrations, remote deployments, security incidents Professional development and certification support Competitive remuneration package
