Immediate start | Monday to Friday | Major construction project | Cairns local SafeAssure is seeking 2 experienced Construction Safety Advisors to support a major local construction project in Cairns. This is a practical, site-based safety role suited to people who enjoy being out with crews, working across high-risk construction activity, and helping a busy project move safely. The project is expected to continue through until at least the end of next year, so reliability and commitment are important ABOUT THE ROLE You will support day-to-day safety across a live construction environment involving multiple work fronts, subcontractors and high-risk activities. The role will involve: Cranes, rigging and lifting activities Mobile plant Working at heights Roofing, cladding, fit-out and services Permit-controlled works Hot works, isolation and working at heights permits SWMS, JSA and risk assessment review Pre-starts and toolbox talks Site inspections and safety observations Incident reporting and corrective actions Subcontractor and crew engagement Exclusion zones, traffic movement and construction staging ABOUT YOU We are looking for experienced construction safety people who are practical, visible and confident on site.
