Luma is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of Western Australian women since 1977, delivering integrated medical, allied health, mental health, FDV advocacy, health promotion and education across the Perth metropolitan area. Luma is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and patient-centred Advanced Practice Nurse to join our Women’s Health Clinic. This role plays a critical part in delivering specialised, evidence-based care, improving access to women’s health services, and supporting clinical excellence through leadership, prevention, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Key responsibilities include: Advanced Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of women’s health conditions, including reproductive, sexual, and general health, within scope of advanced practice. Health Education & Prevention: Deliver education to patients on preventative health, screening programs, contraception, menopause management, and lifestyle factors to support informed decision-making. Collaborative Care & Referrals: Work closely with GPs, specialists, midwives, and allied health professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care and appropriate referral pathways. Quality, Compliance & Improvement: Participate in audit, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure alignment with best practice standards, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Clinical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to nursing staff and students, fostering a positive learning environment and advancing professional practice. Operational & Quality Support: Provide support in audit processes, quality improvement activities, and the daily management of the clinic. About you: Tertiary and postgraduate qualification(s) in a relevant discipline, such as Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Advanced Practice Sexual Health Nurse, or equivalent, with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development. Certification in sexual and reproductive health (desirable). Proficiency in delivering high-quality client consultations that meet the unique needs of diverse client groups. Strong problem-solving skills and clinical judgement, particularly when supporting clients with multiple or complex needs. Advanced computer skills, including experience with practice management systems and Office 365 programs. Current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and evidence of up-to-date ‘Category A’ immunisations in line with WA Department of Health guidelines. Current AHPRA Registration and/or professional membership with a relevant health practitioner board and/or society. Why join the Luma team?
