Belconnen and Gundaroo Veterinary Centre | Full-Time Head Veterinary Nurse About Us Belconnen and Gundaroo Veterinary Centres stand out for their entrepreneurial vision, offering the most complete structure of clinical, surgical and diagnostic imaging services (ultrasound, X-ray, CT and endoscopy), led by a dedicated team, with excellent technical training and driven by passion for pets! Our Belconnen clinic also sees a large volume of orthopaedic surgeries, supported by regular visits from a travelling orthopaedic specialist. The Opportunity We are currently looking for our next star Head Veterinary Nurses to join our teams at Belconnen and Gundaroo Veterinary Centres! There are two full-time roles available, one based at Belconnen and the other based at our Gundaroo clinic. As the Head Vet Nurse with Belconnen or Gundaroo Veterinary Centres, you will be actively involved in supporting our Vets with patient care, and with shifts rotating between surgery, hospital, and reception! In addition to this, you will also work alongside our practice managers and assist in organising rosters, ordering stock and assist in managing nurse training. To be successful for this position, you will have: A Cert IV Vet Nursing (essential!). A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Vet Nurse, with knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures, particularly ECC experience would prove very beneficial. Available for shifts Monday-Friday, with rotating weekends. Ability to work independently with strong leadership skills. An empathetic, caring nurse that always advocates for their patients. Exceptional communication skills to build relationships with our clients. A willingness to keep learning and improving both themselves and the practice.
