The role: This Education provider are looking for a Head of Quality, Accreditation and Compliance, this person will lead the groups quality and compliance function and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This role holds enterprise-wide accountability for quality assurance, regulatory compliance, accreditation and risk across Higher Education, Vocational Education and Training (VET) and CRICOS operations within a complex, multi-campus environment. This role operates at a senior level and plays a key role in contributing to reporting into the LET and Board, ensuring quality, compliance and risk considerations are clearly articulated and appropriately represented. In addition to leading the Quality and Compliance function, the role also assumes responsibility as the Group Privacy Officer and Risk Officer, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to governance, risk and compliance. A key focus will be leading and advising on dual sector regulatory strategy, including registrations, renewals, accreditations and reaccreditations, while supporting the organisation's broader growth and transformation agenda. This role also manages key relationships with regulators, government agencies and industry bodies, so we are looking for someone who is confident operating at both a strategic and hands-on level within a fast-paced environment. As this is a national role, there is flexibility for this position to be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane or the Gold Coast. Lead, mentor and develop the Quality, Accreditation and Compliance function, including two direct reports. Act as Group Privacy Officer and Risk Officer, overseeing privacy, risk and governance frameworks across the organisation Ensure ongoing compliance across ESOS, National Code, TEQSA, ASQA, CRICOS, VET Quality Frameworks and all relevant legislation and regulatory obligations Drive the development and continuous improvement of integrated quality and compliance frameworks across both Higher Education and RTO operations Provide strategic oversight and leadership of dual sector registrations, renewals, accreditations and reaccreditations, ensuring successful regulatory outcomes Identify, assess and communicate enterprise-level risks and compliance issues, contributing to reporting for the COO, Executive Leadership Team and Board Audit and Risk Committee Lead responses to regulatory audits, reviews and consultations, ensuring a coordinated and professional approach Build and maintain effective relationships with regulators, government agencies and industry bodies, positioning the organisation as a credible and trusted stakeholder Monitor regulatory developments and provide forward-looking advice on emerging risks and business impacts Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, capability uplift and continuous improvement The ideal candidate: Experience in senior quality, accreditation and compliance roles within highly regulated education environments Expertise across TEQSA, ASQA and CRICOS frameworks, with a strong understanding of dual sector operating models Proven experience in managing registrations, renewals, accreditations and reaccreditations within complex organisations Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining standardised best practice compliance frameworks across a Group Extensive experience within quality assurance, compliance or risk management in the education sector Proven ability to build strong relationships with regulators, government agencies and key external stakeholders Holds tertiary qualifications in Education, Law, Business or Policy or related discipline Tidal Recruitment Partners have been engaged to recruit this position.
