This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced medical secretary seeking a varied role within a busy specialist surgical setting. About the Role Angel Medical Recruit is currently assisting a respected specialist Ear, Nose and Throat practice in Murdoch seeking an experienced Senior Medical Secretary to support a busy specialist within a fast-paced environment. This role plays an integral part in coordinating patient care, managing surgical administration and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of specialist consulting and theatre workflows. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between the specialist, patients, hospitals, referrers and the broader practice team. Please note that travel to Armadale is required fortnightly on Fridays for an all-day off-site clinic. The practice is known for delivering high-quality patient care within a professional and supportive environment, and this role will suit someone who enjoys working independently while remaining part of a collaborative and friendly team. Key Responsibilities Providing high-level administrative and secretarial support to the specialist Managing patient enquiries and coordinating appointments across busy clinic lists Preparing professional medical correspondence and documentation Maintaining accurate patient records within the Genie practice management system Coordinating referrals and ensuring timely communication with referrers Liaising with surgeons, hospitals, allied health providers and external stakeholders Coordinating surgical bookings including theatre lists, quoting and required documentation Supporting billing processes including Medicare and Health Fund claims Managing diaries, inboxes and general workflow to support efficient clinic operations Assisting with general administrative functions to support the practice Travelling to Armadale is required fortnightly on Fridays for an all-day off-site clinic. About You Previous experience working within a specialist medical practice environment Experience using GENIE practice management software highly regarded Experience coordinating theatre bookings, quoting and surgical administration Ability to work independently within a busy, fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional phone manner Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail A friendly, proactive and team-oriented approach ENT terminology experience highly regarded but not essential as training will be provided About the Practice This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected Ear, Nose and Throat practice with a strong reputation for clinical excellence and patient care.
