The Opportunity RPM Hire has an exciting opportunity for an additional Supervisor to join our high performing Barrier team as we expand further into more states in AUS. Reporting to the National Barrier Operations Manager, you will be responsible to provide support to the operations team in the day to day running of the business. We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual with a positive can-do attitude. The Key Responsibilities Operations Plan, coordinate and oversee daily barrier operations across all active sites Manage scheduling and deployment of crews, equipment and vehicles to meet customer requirements Oversee the handover process to operations, ensuring quality and accuracy Monitor job progress and resolve operational issues in a timely manner Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed in line with procedures (SWMS, checklists, pre-starts, delivery records) Oversee stock management, inventory control and yard organisation Liaise with customers on and off site to maintain strong relationships and resolve any concerns Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs Team Leadership Lead, mentor and support Leading Hands and barrier crew to achieve team and business goals Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching Conduct performance reviews and manage underperformance in line with company policy Lead recruitment, onboarding and induction of new team members Foster a positive, inclusive team culture that reflects RPM Hire values Identify training needs and coordinate upskilling and development opportunities Act as a point of escalation for team issues, resolving conflicts professionally and fairly Health & Safety Safety-first culture across all field and yard operations Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies and Safe Work Method Statements Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety inspections and site audits Investigate and report all incidents, near misses and hazards promptly and thoroughly Ensure all team members hold current and appropriate licences and certifications Maintain a safe, clean and organised yard and depot environment at all times Reporting & Administration Provide regular operational updates and reports to the National Installation Manager Maintain accurate records of crew hours, equipment usage, and job completion Assist with budget monitoring and flag any cost overruns or resource constraints Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement agreed process changes Licences & Requirements High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (desirable) Current Driver's Licence Construction Induction (White Card) First Aid Certificate (desirable) HR Licence (desirable) What You Will Bring Proven supervisory experience in a field operations, hire, construction or civil environment Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate multi-person teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Sound understanding of WHS legislation and experience implementing safety systems Proficient in computer systems, scheduling tools and digital record keeping Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset Commitment to delivering exceptional customer outcomes and continuous improvement Previous experience working on projects The Benefits of Working at RPM Hire Safety first culture.
