Skills and experience 3 years' experience in a similar role - aged care experience highly regarded. Cert III in commercial cookery desirable Experience in large volume cooking as well as work autonomously and in group settings Reliable and punctual Collaborative and team player Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines. Experienced in ordering, delivery and handling/control of stock. Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients. High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge. Must have reliable transport. Key responsibilities Ability to produce high quality meals in line with aged care food service/HACCP guidelines, Quality Assurance procedures including low and high care residents. Assisting in menu design, changes and implementation. Assist with putting away of deliveries & general kitchen clean up duties. Good all-rounder in kitchen i.e. scones, cakes, desserts, soups. Responsible for preparation of special diets such as puree, gluten free and texture modified etc. Excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task. Function within a busy kitchen whilst working harmoniously with the team.
