In Australia alone, we have a presence on over 45 mining operations, and, due to continued growth and internal movement, we currently require a Rim Specialist for our RTIO projects: THE ROLE The purpose of the Rim Specialist is to lead rim inventory auditing and compliance across all RTIO operational sites. This role is critical in ensuring that rim stock levels, condition, and receival practices meet safety, quality, and operational standards and align with Australian standard 4457. Responsibilities will include: Lead rim inventory auditing and compliance across all RTIO operational sites. Ensure rim stock levels, condition, and receival practices meet safety, quality, and operational standards align with Australian standard 4457. Work closely with supply partners and site teams, driving improvements in rim management, enhancing compliance. Provide support and training of personnel, promoting continuous improvement upholding Australian standards for rim and wheel management. Assess current rim receival practices at all sites. Ensure adherence to Rio Tinto & Australian standards and industry best practices. Recommend process improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency. Conduct comprehensive audits of rim stock across all sites, focusing on AS4457 compliance (MID/MRD) Verify rim condition, compliance with specifications, and alignment with operational requirements. Identify discrepancies between physical stock and system records and implement corrective action. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for forecasting and budgeting. Generate detailed audit reports and present findings to stakeholders. Complete rim stock audits across all assigned sites. Verify and reconcile inventory data in Otracom. Provide recommendation reports on receival process improvements. Implementation plan for compliance and efficiency enhancements. ABOUT YOU To be successful you must have a sound knowledge of OTR tyres, management practices and fitment techniques. You will be a self-starter, someone who prides themselves on safe, exceptional results with limited supervision. You will be able to demonstrate the following: Knowledge of earth mover tyre and rim industry, tooling and associated consumables. Exposure to mining operations across differing clients and commodities.
