About the Role The Information Officer is responsible for providing accurate, quality and timely information primarily by phone, relating to work health and safety and state industrial relations legislation administered by SafeWork SA, including recording of reportable incidents. Key components of the role include: Providing high quality, accurate and consistent advisory services to customers on a range of legislation. Providing an informative, contemporary and customer-focused service. Ensuring customer issues are dealt with satisfactorily through various communication media. Taking reasonable steps to capture all required information relating to reportable incidents, events and complaints. Referring customer enquiries to other areas for action when required. Working collaboratively with other team members to prioritise workloads and achieve team outcomes. Effectively managing own workloads and assisting other team members as required. About SafeWork SA SafeWork SA is a business unit within Attorney-General’s Department and is responsible for providing work, health and safety, public safety, and state-based industrial relations services across South Australia.
