Due to continued business growth, Arise Solar is seeking an experienced and capable Retail Buyer to join its team in Cavan, South Australia. Role – Retail Buyer| Arise Solar Pty Ltd - Cavan, SA Key Responsibilities Reviewing sales performance, customer enquiries, stock movement and product availability to identify purchasing needs across solar panels, batteries, EV chargers, inverters and related accessories. Researching market trends, supplier updates, manufacturer information, product innovations and changes in customer demand within the renewable energy and solar retail sector. Selecting suitable product ranges based on quality, performance, warranty, pricing, supplier reliability, customer demand and compatibility with Arise Solar’s service offerings. Negotiating purchase prices, supply terms, warranty arrangements, delivery schedules, promotional support and product availability with manufacturers, distributors and suppliers. Working closely with management to plan product purchasing strategies, promotional campaigns, seasonal offers and long-term stock requirements. Preparing buying plans and stock forecasts in line with business budgets, sales targets, installation demand and seasonal changes in the solar industry. Assessing customer preferences and market demand to determine the appropriate quantity, type, specification and quality of goods to be purchased. Supporting pricing strategies for solar products, battery packages, EV charger solutions and related retail offerings to ensure competitiveness and profitability. Assisting with product promotions, package deals, marketing campaigns and display strategies for retail, digital and sales channels. Monitoring supplier performance, delivery timelines, product quality, after-sales support and warranty responsiveness. Maintaining strong working relationships with internal sales, operations, installation and customer service teams to ensure purchased products meet operational and customer requirements. Comparing product options from different suppliers and recommending commercially suitable purchasing decisions to management. Ensuring purchased products are aligned with applicable industry standards, safety expectations and the company’s commitment to quality renewable energy solutions. Reviewing slow-moving, high-demand and discontinued products and making recommendations to improve stock efficiency. Preparing purchase orders, product comparison summaries, stock reports and supplier performance updates. Supporting the business in identifying new product opportunities in solar technology, battery storage, EV charging and energy efficiency solutions. Helping ensure that the company maintains a reliable product pipeline to support timely installations and customer satisfaction. Skills and Experience Required At least 3 years of relevant experience in retail buying, procurement, purchasing, stock control, supplier management or a closely related role. An AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field. Hours: 38 hours per week - Full-time Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation per annum Personal Attributes Analytical, detail-focused and comfortable working with sales and stock data.
